What Destin’s official pages say

Okaloosa County’s code, as quoted on county pages, says that no person or business may possess or use any glass or ceramic bottle or container in or on any public park, beach or recreational area in the county. The minimum civil penalties are $50, $150 and $300 for first, second and third or later violations. The same code prohibits the use of alcohol in county parks, beaches and recreational areas, with an exception for appropriately licensed establishments such as those at the Island Pier, Newman C. Brackin Park and James Lee Park, or others the county commission approves.

The City of Destin’s beach page states that pets, fires, fireworks, glass, littering and vehicles are not allowed on the beaches. Separately, county pages describe an ordinance prohibiting alcohol consumption in the Crab Island area, which is a waterway rule. Read the county pages before any boat day.

How the nights differ (our view)

  • Panama City Beach nights are scheduled. The PCB Club Card calendar has nightly theme parties at partner venues across four weeks, from Feb 27 to Mar 26, 2027. See the parties and the venues.
  • Destin nights are what you find. We run no events in Destin, so we leave nightlife advice to local sources.
  • Days differ too. Panama City Beach has day parties, such as the Beach Blast Day Party on Wednesdays at Señor Frog’s. Destin is better known for time on the water.
