Answers to common Panama City Beach spring break 2027 questions: dates, age and ID, the card, pickup, venues, rules and safety, with links to the details.
Quick answer
Pack your valid photo ID first. You need it for entry (18+) and for drinking (21+), and for card pickup. After that: layers, sun protection, comfortable shoes, a power bank and a small bag. Check the forecast before you go, because March weather on the Gulf can swing.
Packing for spring break is mostly about avoiding two mistakes: forgetting the things you cannot replace and packing for a vacation that is not the one you are taking. Here is a no-fluff list for a Panama City Beach trip built around days outside and nights at the clubs.
We are not going to hand you average temperatures. We could not confirm numbers from an official climate table, so check the forecast for your exact dates (our March weather guide shows where) and pack accordingly.
The non-negotiables
- Valid photo ID. 18+ to enter with valid photo ID. 21+ to drink with valid photo ID. No exceptions. This is also what you bring to pick up your card at Hammerhead Fred’s.
- Your order confirmation. Screenshot it. Card pickup needs it.
- Phone, charger and a power bank. Long days burn batteries.
- A payment method that is not just cash. Keep a backup card separate from your main one.
- Any medications you rely on, in their original packaging.
If you are buying for a group, remember that each person needs their own card and their own ID at pickup. Our group trip guide covers the logistics.
Beach days

- Sunscreen, applied more often than you think.
- A hat and sunglasses.
- A reusable water bottle, because hydration is the easiest thing to skip.
- Flip-flops for the sand, plus a second pair of shoes that are not flip-flops.
- A light cover-up or hoodie for wind and cooler evenings.
- A waterproof pouch for your phone.
Before you get into the water, read the flag. Our beach flags and water safety guide explains what the colors mean. Please do not skip it.
Night gear
- Comfortable shoes you can stand in for hours. Heels and long lines do not get along.
- A small bag or a phone-wallet. Less to carry means less to lose.
- A light layer, because nights can feel cooler than afternoons.
- Outfits that match the party. See the theme parties page and our parties explained for the dress cues.
Party-specific ideas
Our own party descriptions give you the hints:
- Snowfall: Wear White, Glow Bright. White clothing and anything that looks good under blacklights.
- LIT: Ultra Glow Party. Neon fits and glow gear.
- Illumination: A Paint Party Explosion. Wear something you are fine getting neon paint on.
- Neon Honky Tonk and Bass & Boots. Boots, if you have them.
- St. Patty-Gras. Green, and a lot of beads.
Keep your stuff safe
- Leave valuables you do not need in a locked place at your stay.
- Take a photo of your ID and keep it separate from the original.
- Share your location with a trusted friend on nights out.
- Keep your drink in your hand or in sight.
More in our spring break safety tips.
What to leave home
- Anything you would be devastated to lose.
- An ID that is expired, damaged or not a photo ID.
- Anything that would cause trouble with city rules. In 2026 alcohol was reported banned on the beach for the month of March, so do not pack a cooler of drinks for the sand. See PCB spring break rules.
- A packed schedule that leaves no time to rest.

Frequently asked questions
What is the one thing I cannot forget?
A valid photo ID. 18+ to enter with valid photo ID. 21+ to drink with valid photo ID. You also need it, with your order confirmation, to pick up your card.
Should I bring glow gear?
For the LIT: Ultra Glow Party, our FAQ says free glow gear is part of the party. Neon and white outfits suit Glow Rave, Snowfall and the paint party, but dress for what you are comfortable ruining at the paint party.
Do I need a big bag at the clubs?
Smaller is easier. Check each venue’s own entry rules before you go, since bag policies can change by venue and night.
Is it warm enough to swim in March?
We cannot quote water temperature from an official source here. Check the NWS forecast and local conditions, and read the flags before you get in the water.
18+ to enter with valid photo ID. 21+ to drink with valid photo ID. No exceptions.
