Week 1 vs Week 4: Which End of the PCB Spring Break Calendar Is Right for You?

Comparing the first and last weeks of the PCB Club Card 2027 calendar: dates, the parties each week has and how to decide between them.

Quick answer

Week 1 runs Feb 27 to Mar 5 and lists 4 parties. Week 4 runs Mar 20 to Mar 26 and lists 7. We do not have official crowd or weather figures to compare, so choose based on your school break and the parties you want. Week 4 adds Glow Rave, Bass & Boots and Pardi-Gras at Frog’s.

The simplest comparison on the calendar is the first week versus the last. Week 1 starts in February and Week 4 ends in the last week of March. You will find opinions everywhere about which is “better,” but we do not have official attendance or weather data to back any of them, so we keep this comparison to what we can show: dates and parties.

Side by side

Week 1 Week 4
Dates Feb 27 to Mar 5 Mar 20 to Mar 26
Listed parties 4 7
Glow party LIT: Ultra Glow, Sun Feb 28 LIT: Ultra Glow, Sat Mar 20
Paint party Illumination, Fri Mar 5 Illumination, Tue Mar 23
Snowfall Tue Mar 2 Mon Mar 22
Beach Blast Day Party Wed Mar 3 Wed Mar 24
Frog’s nights None beyond Beach Blast Glow Rave (Mar 25), Pardi-Gras at Frog’s (Mar 26)
Whiskey’s Saloon None Bass & Boots (Thu Mar 25)

Counts and dates come from the event schedule.

What Week 1 offers

Week 1 is the lightest on the calendar and it centers on Fred’s: LIT: Ultra Glow Party, Snowfall and Illumination, plus the Beach Blast Day Party at Señor Frog’s. If your group wants a simple week built around the Fred’s theme parties, this is an easy fit. Fred’s Card works for three of the four Week 1 parties; Beach Blast is not valid with it.

Remember the city rules. Only Feb 27 and 28 fall before March, and if the 2026 pattern repeats, the beach alcohol ban applies for the month of March. See PCB spring break rules.

What Week 4 offers

Week 4 spreads out. You still get Ultra Glow, Snowfall, Illumination and Beach Blast, but you also get Glow Rave, Bass & Boots and Pardi-Gras at Frog’s. That means more nights at Señor Frog’s and a country night at Whiskey’s Saloon.

Because Fred’s Card is not valid at Frog’s or Whiskey’s, Week 4 is the stronger case for Platinum or Ultimate if you want to see the full lineup. See how the card works.

What you cannot compare from here

We would rather be clear than clever:

  • Crowd size. We do not publish attendance numbers. Do It For Break has a post on how big PCB spring break is if you want another angle.
  • Weather. Check the NWS forecast near your dates. See the weather guide.
  • Lodging prices. They change, so check booking sites directly.
  • Artists. 2027 Artists TBA.

How to decide

  1. Check your break. If it fits only one week, you are done. See how to pick your week.
  2. Look at the parties. If Glow Rave, Bass & Boots or Pardi-Gras at Frog’s are on your list, Week 4 has them. If you want a simple Fred’s week, Week 1 does that.
  3. Think about the card. More venues means a higher card level.
  4. Think about your group. The week that everyone can attend beats the week that looks best on paper.

What about Weeks 2 and 3?

Week 2 (Mar 6 to Mar 12) lists 6 parties, adding Pardi-Gras at Fred’s and Neon Honky Tonk. Week 3 (Mar 13 to Mar 19) lists 9, including St. Patty-Gras, Glow Rave, Bass & Boots and a Wednesday with four events. If you are open to the middle, compare all four in our week guide.

Questions to ask your group

Before you lock in either end of the calendar, ask each other a few things.

  • Which week lines up with everyone’s classes, jobs and travel?
  • Do we want a simple week centered on Fred’s, or a spread across several venues?
  • Is anyone planning to use the Wednesday Beach Blast Day Party, and does our card level include it?
  • How will we get there, and what does that cost for each of the two options?

Honest answers to these four questions settle the debate faster than any rumor about which week is “the best.” Write the answers down, share them in the group chat and book from there.

Frequently asked questions

Which week is the busiest?

We do not publish attendance numbers, so we will not claim one. The schedule shows Week 3 has the most listed events, and Week 1 the fewest.

Which week has better weather?

We cannot say from an official source. Check the NWS forecast near your dates. See March weather.

Can I do two weeks?

Each card is for one week and is valid every night of that week. See the card page for how purchases work.

Do the weeks cost the same?

Card prices are listed by level, not by week: $80, $100 and $200 plus taxes and fees. See the card page.
